Edwards E2M28 Dual Stage Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump

The E2M28 pump is a two-stage, direct drive, sliding vane pump. The pump is oil sealed and designed for reliable, long-term operation in both laboratory and industrial environments. The pump is a freestanding unit with the drive provided through a flexible coupling by either a single-phase or three-phase (four-pole) motor. 

The motor is totally enclosed and is cooled by the motor-cooling fan which directs air along the motor fins. The motors are fitted with a thermal overload device. When the motor is too hot, the thermal overload device switches off the pump. The thermal overload device has an automatic reset; when the motor cools down, the device resets and the motor will restart. 
  
An oil pressure system lubricates the pump shaft bearing surfaces and rotor sealing faces. The pump has an oil distribution valve which prevents discharge of oil to the pump interior (suckback) after the pump stops. The pumping chambers are air-tight, so this arrangement prevents oil suckback unless the gas ballast valve is open. 
  
You can inspect the level and condition of oil in the oil box reservoir through the oil sight-glass. An oil filler-plug is fitted to the top of the oil box. The pump has two oil drain-plugs to allow either gravity oil drain or pressure oil drain.

Includes EMF20 Oil Mist Filter:

Mist filters capture oil mist from the outlet of pumps, which would otherwise be ejected into the atmosphere. This may happen when you use gas ballast or when you pump high gas throughputs. You can also return oil trapped in the mist filter back to the pump, although you must ensure that the process gases will not contaminate the pump or pump oil. 

The EMF20 mist filter can be used on low pressure applications. They are very efficient at 99.999% DOP test and are also azide proof. The white bottom half of the body is semi-transparent, allowing the oil level to be monitored. The EMF filters have a unique odor element which neutralizes the smell of oil mist.

Gilson 307 Pump

The Gilson 307 Piston Pump is designed to produce accurate and reproducible flow rates in the range 0.025 to 5 ml/min. It can be programmed to give flow rate gradients and to synchronize with other instruments using the inputs and outputs.

Interchangeable pump heads accommodate flow rates ranging from 5µL/min to 200mL/min with a wide range of liquids at differing viscosities.

Together with Gilson Manometric Modules and Dynamic Mixers, these Pumps offer a cost-effective, robust solution for isocratic to gradient, analytical to preparative HPLC.

Rheodyne MRA for LC/MS

The Rheodyne MRA100-000 from IDEX Health & Science is an active splitting device that delivers a small aliquot of an HPLC stream into a Mass Spec.

The Mass Rate Attenuator can be used in analytical scale to prep scale flow rate applications with little or no observable post-column band broadening.

The Rheodyne MRA can be operated with Input Line Control or via RS232 communication.

The ability to select from a wide range of split rations will add convenience, productivity and time savings to the LC/MS applications. The Flow Splitter offers 4-ports with a 6-position configuration.

Gilson 333/334 Prep-scale HPLC Pumps

The Gilson 333 and 334 pumps are reciprocating piston pumps for use in preparative chromatography using from 20 to 100 mm bore columns. They are individually known as the 333 Pump and the 334 Pump and are individually for single solvent delivery under high pressure. Together they are described as Gilson 333-334, a gradient system for binary gradient applications.

Each pump is equipped with two pump heads.

Complete preparative pumping solution – isocratic (333 pump) or binary gradient applications.

  • Gilson 333 Pump

Your delivery solution for preparative chromatography. Capable of fast separations with high-efficiency columns in normal and reverse-phase modes. This 333 Master Pump is for isocratic applications. 

333 Pumps have a control panel (integral keypad and screen) for configuring, programming, and coordinating with other equipment (pumps, detectors, injectors, etc.).

334 Pumps have no PPMM, no outlet filter, and because they have no control panel they are physically shorter. They may be controlled by 333 Pump software using its control panel.

 

Gilson UV/VIS-156 Detector

The 156 UV/VIS Detector is a microprocessor-controlled, versatile ultraviolet-visible absorption detector that provides dual wavelength detection.

The detector has a sensitivity range of 0.001 to 2.0 AUFS (Absorbance Units, Full Scale).

Gilson 506C System Interface

The Gilson 506C System Interface connects your computer to many Gilson Instruments. It permits bi-directional communication by interconverting the RS-232 signal levels used by computers and RS-422/485 signal levels required by the Gilson Serial Input/Output Channel (GSIOC).

  • Provides four contact inputs and six contact outputs that allow your computer to control instruments not equipped for GSIOC operation
  • The state of the contacts can be read or changed using appropriate software (such as Gilson control software)
  • The system interface incorporates four analog data inputs that can be read by the computer via the GSIOC
  • Using these data inputs, your computer can read the signal from any detector or monitor that provides a –100 mV to +1.0 V analog input
  • Includes a socket for installing the security key required to operate most Gilson software products
 

 

Gilson GX-271 Liquid Handler

The GX-271 Liquid Handler provides a small footprint, medium capacity liquid handler and autosampler offering small to large volume injection, fraction collection and liquid handling capabilities.

This instrument can be configured with either a GX Prep (included) or Analytical Solvent System which features a syringeless pumping technology capable of delivering a wide range of flow rates and volumes.

Taking up only 23” of linear bench space with a mid-size bed capacity, the GX-271 is the perfect blend of size, performance and capacity.

All injection modules feature a continuous flow path design for preparative flow rates up to 200 mL/min. The GX-271 can accommodate large injection volumes up to 25 mL with minimal sample waste and carryover.

  • The GX-271 Liquid Handler or autosampler can be configured with a GX Direct Injection Module (included) for injection onto an HPLC or LC/MS system. The GX Direct Injection Module features an innovative injection port design that attaches directly to the injection valve reducing void volumes and minimizing carryover associated with calibrated connection tubing.
  • Jet Wash Rinse technology features a flowing rinse for fast and efficient rinsing protocols. The GX-271 is capable of utilizing two separate flowing rinse solvents.
  • Modular design allows the use of Code 20, 200 or 34X Series Racks.
  • A variety of vessels can be accommodated including tubes, vials and microplates in various of formats.
  • Volume capabilities ranging from 50 µL to hundreds of milliliters.
